We loved the sushi here so much, we returned the next night. Lots of options, including veggie, and their special offer of 4 for the price of 3 rolls made it very affordable for such quality. Good saki too. Little kitten Maki brought us some unexpected entertainment, chasing after a little napkin! Good vibe, and good service.
We enjoyed the local rice and bean dishes but one night we needed something different and decided to try Kappa Sushi. The sushi was very close to what you'd get in the states. The sushi was very good, the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was great, wine and saki were good - so all and all very happy we ate there.
Coming from Houston, Texas, US- we love good sushi, so we lowered our sushi expectations for here… but Kappa surprised us! Romantic, sexy feel of the restaurant off the main road was more relaxing and private. The dumplings were so great, sashimi, and we had 2 rolls- highly recommend this sushi place!!! The mushroom roll was exceptional too- must try if you love mushrooms!
My teen daughter always craves sushi. I had no idea what it would be like in the middle of Costa Rica but this restaurant was amazing. So glad I could satisfy her craving of sushi during our three weeks in the country. This place has a really cool vibe and played fun music. The service was also great. I really enjoyed my ginger lemonade.
